This is the music that gets me going.  I love the freedom, the intensity of thought and emotion.  I also love the level of technical ability and understanding needed to create this sort of freedom.  Yes, it’s just “blowing,” but the use of pedal tones with modal voicings moving chromatically over it in the piano, all of the over blowing and chromaticism in the sax, which creates a very Romantic sort of stream of consciousness.  This is nirvana to me.
